e hope you find this gallery enjoyable. Below are horses we have either raised or owned. Most either have our breeding or were foundation mares at Windermere.
Camille, undoubtedly one the best Percheron mare ever. She is the dam of Windermere King Cong our senior stallion, and Windermere's Charisma our World-Class hitch mare. Just about everything in our herd goes back her. She is truly a foundation mare.
Sundown Farms Morning Belle, a 5 year old Cong daughter bred here at Windermere. We reacquired her and her mother and we will be using her in the wheel of our hitch. She is a huge mare with massive feet.
Windermere's Cassandra, a full sister to Windermere King Cong. This mare has been All-American and more recently produced Windermere's Inferno, our up and coming stallion. The quality and influence of this mare is evident in Inferno.
McGrath's Vanna Tude, an exceptional show and broodmare. She was National Champion for us and crossed well with Cong before she died.
Vanna showing she can move.
M.G.'s Bobbie McGee, full sister to Marissa Laet and dam of Windermere's Intruder and Taylor Maid, both exceptional show horses.
Windermere's Joy, by Blackhome Duke out of Wagon Works Julie Sue. Joy was a show ring winner and has been a great broodmare for us. She produced Windermere's Just Incredible, who has sired many of our outstanding hitch mares and some great stallions for us. Just Incredible was a great cart horse and is now a gelding in the wheel of the Heinz Hitch.
Windermere Lady's Lucy, by South Valley Prince Ha Ha out of Winterwood Lady. Lucy was a great show mare and produced some outstanding offspring for us. She had the best of dispositions as well. We recently sold Lucy.
F.R.F. King's Halo, by King Cong out of Hemlock Hill Mary. Halo was one of our best show mares and was Grand Champion at Ohio in 2002. She had exceptional movement and conformation. Unfortunately we lost her during foaling. We have a daughter of her full sister F.R.F.'s Mary's Footprints that we will be showing.
Donald's Sherri Lynn, by Valley View Rebel, a mare who spent some time in the wheel of our grey hitch. She won her class at the '95 Congress and went on to produce some good offspring. We sold her but kept a daughter from her by Just Incredible named Windemere's Cheri.
Windermere's Victoria, by Black Diamond out of Katrina, showing she can trot with the best. As with all our horses you will notice this mare has action both up front and behind, as well a willingness to show it off.
We will end this gallery with a shot from the KILE a number of years ago. We had Senior and Grand Champion mare, Reserve Senior Champion mare, Junior and Reserve Grand Champion mare, and Junior Champion mare. Not a bad show... |
