elcome to our stallion gallery. Below are some of the stallions that have resided at Windermere. Some of these stallions' influence can still be seen in our herd.
Blackhome Duke needs little introduction. He is perhaps the most influential Percheron sire ever. He was many times a champion and produced champions many times over and his legacy lives on through his best son Windermere King Cong. Many of the popular sires today descend from this horse. Duke was truly one of the great ones, the kind that every breeder hopes to be lucky enough to own.
King Cong, doing what he does best. He is undoubtedly one of the best moving horses to hit the tanbark. He is standing for service on our farm.
Just Incredible shown winning the Stallion/Gelding Men's cart at the International over 27 entries. This horse has produced some awesome hitch mares and is now a gelding in the wheel of the H.J. Heinz Hitch.
Windermere's Laddy, a champion son of Blackhome Duke. This horse was All-American in his show days.
Windermere's Gladiator, a good Cong son out of Marissa Laet.
Windermere's Ceasar, (Mystic Did-It son out of the prolific Beth Mill,) who won his class at the Congress and was named All-American.
Windermere's Bingo, a Dreamtime's Silverado son out of Windermere's Queen for a Day. This horse was a good show horse.
Gambler, a Duke son who was National Champion for us.
Windermere's Blackout, a champion Duke son out of Marissa Laet. He crossed well on Camille, producing a good colt, Windermere's Trademark.
One last picture of Cong, here winning the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair. More information and pictures on Cong can be seen on the Stallion page. |
